I am on the prowl for a second car seat. We were fortunate enough to recieve the convertable carseat we have in our family car as a gift (Thanks G-ma L.) And I love the Britax, but don't want to spend $300 on a second carseat!

Korina, I did the marathon/roundabout debate for a while. I think the difference you might want to think about is the seated height, so the marathon allows them to get ~5 inches taller in seat height before they can't be in it and based on your and David's height, plus that fact that somewhere in your genes you have a long body jean, you may want to consider that (it also goes higher in weight, but my guess is you'll be out in height before weight, as it goes to 60lbs, but Lukacs had to come out of it before 40lbs). The marathon as far as I found allows the largest seated height.
